Lot 645a Mauser / JLD Ent. 1933 'Argentine' 7.65x53mm #1025

German made magazine fed bolt-action centerfire contract rifle chambered for 7.65x53mm Argentine, and manufactured circa 1931-1933 for the Buenos Aires police. Imported by JLD Enterprises out of Farmington, CT. This Mauser features a blued finish, a 21-1/2" barrel, raised inverted 'V' front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 1,400 meters, turned down bolt handle, left receiver rail mounted bolt release, three-position flag type safety, smooth curved trigger, fixed magazine, no cleaning rod, bayonet lug, and 'H' style front barrel band. The hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, smooth forend and handguard, sling swivel on rear barrel band, sling swivel on the bottom of the shoulder stock, and smooth metal butt plate. Rifle displays a Mauser banner on top of action, serial number '1025' on the action and magazine floorplate, '1388' on the bolt, and the 'Buenos Aires Police' markings on the receiver ring. The original blued finish retained is approximately 50% with edge wear, light blemishes, and the finish turning to a brown patina. Metal shows some spots of rust, and no observed deformation. The markings are sharp, and action is smooth and crisp. The hardwood furniture is in good condition with storage and stacking marks. The bore shows fair to good rifling, but is dirty. This is a scarce and collectible Mauser.
Condition is NRA Good to Very Good.
